Chairman’s Award

The gear industry needs new, committed employees.  The Chairman’s Award, funded by Caterpillar, Inc., is an incentive for students to participate in our industry’s technical activities.  The Award is available to students conducting research in the gearing field, or who have some special knowledge that would interest AGMA members. 

Students are invited to submit their papers to AGMA headquarters each spring for consideration.  One paper is selected each year for presentation at the AGMA Fall Technical Meeting. The recipient of the Chairman's Award will travel to the Fall Technical meeting to present his/her paper.  Transportation, lodging, per diem for meals and registration will be paid by the Association.  The $500 Chairman's Award will be presented at the meeting.
