Ohio State University Report
In 2004, Ohio State University’s
Dept. of Mechanical Engineering received a $39,870 grant from the AGMA
Foundation to conduct a research project entitled, “Development of
a Generalized Mechanical Efficiency Prediction Methodology for Gear
Pairs.”
OSU presented results of the project at
the 2005 Fall Technical Meeting in a paper entitled, “A Model to
Predict Friction Losses of Face-Hobbed Hypoid Gears.” This paper (15 pages) is
available for download free of
charge. You may also download the full
report from Year One of this project (163 pages).
