OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY REPORT
In 2004, Ohio State University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering received a $39,870 grant from the AGMA Foundation to conduct a research project entitled, “Development of a Generalized Mechanical Efficiency Prediction Methodology for Gear Pairs.”
OSU presented results of the project at the 2005 Fall Technical Meeting in a paper entitled, “A Model to Predict Friction Losses of Face-Hobbed Hypoid Gears.” This paper (15 pages) is available for download . You may also download the full report from Year One of this project (163 pages).
